Is Your System Not Cooling?

Avoid unnecessary charges by checking this list before you call -
- Set your ideal temperature in the morning before it gets hot outside; it can take one hour to cool a home down one to two degrees.
- Keep windows, doors, blinds, and curtains closed to help keep out the heat of the day.
- Replace disposable air filters with new ones and clean all reusable filters.
- Unblock and open all registers and returns. Your home needs to maintain proper air flow in order to keep cool.
- For ductless systems, ensure all remotes for all units are in cooling mode and your fan speed is turned up; ductless systems will not run properly if all units are not in the same mode.
- Remove all leaves and debris from outdoor units. Cut back all vegetation.
- Ensure the units (and your home) have power. Check all power switches and breakers to ensure nothing is switched off.

Yes. We install Mitsubishi, Trane, Lennox and Carrier equipment, and we service what is already in your home whatever the badge on it. Our vans are stocked with common parts, so most repairs are done on the first visit.
Ice on the coil or the line almost always means airflow or refrigerant. A dirty filter, a blocked return, a failing blower, or a low charge from a leak will all do it. Turn the system off and let it thaw before we arrive, and do not run it iced up, because that is how compressors fail.
It depends on the repair cost against the age and condition of the unit. If the system is over twelve years old, needs a major component like a compressor, and uses a refrigerant that is being phased out, replacement is usually the better spend. We will give you both numbers and let you decide, rather than deciding for you.
The usual suspects are a low refrigerant charge from a leak, a dirty or iced up evaporator coil, a failed capacitor, or a blocked outdoor condenser. Airflow problems from a clogged filter cause it more often than people expect. We diagnose the actual cause rather than topping up refrigerant and leaving you to call again in a month.
Often the same day. If you call before 1pm we can usually get a technician to you that day, and members of our 5 Star Maintenance Plan go to the front of the queue. Our vans are stocked, so most common repairs are finished on the first visit rather than waiting on a part.
It is our annual maintenance membership. Members get discounted annual maintenance, priority service, no overtime charges, a discounted diagnostic fee that is free at the Platinum level, an extended repair warranty, discounted water heater service, and a reminder when your maintenance is due. Members who call before 1pm can usually be seen the same day.
A three year labor warranty on our work as standard, plus a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. Manufacturer warranties on the equipment itself run separately and vary by brand and model. A Comfort Shield Extended Warranty is available if you want coverage beyond that, and we will explain what each one covers before you decide.
Yes. We quote upfront, before the work starts, so there is no surprise at the end. For larger jobs we put a detailed proposal together onsite and back it with our Price Lock Guarantee, which means the price we put in writing is the price you pay. Estimates are free.
Yes. We hold Washington contractor licenses BALLANG062QD and BASHAAP823QR, and our technicians are licensed professionals. We are also a Mitsubishi Diamond Elite Contractor, a Trane Comfort Specialist and a Lennox Premier Dealer, and a longstanding member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.
Since 1993. We have been locally-led and operated that whole time, which is more than thirty years working on homes in this region. That matters more than it sounds: Puget Sound housing stock runs from 1920s bungalows to new construction, and the right answer for one is rarely the right answer for the other.
